Product design decisions.

Sports content leads the homepage. Menus keep confederation services accessible throughout the portal.

01

Start with the calendar.

Filters sit above the schedule. Visitors select a date range and competition before browsing games and their details.

02

Different APIs, one shared data model.

We integrated APIs from FIBA, Genius Sports and Sportradar, which supplies FPB data. Adapters convert each provider's formats into a shared model for competitions, games and statistics. This layer supplies the portal's calendar, standings and game pages.

03

Live updates with caching per game.

The backend combines REST API responses with live feeds to update scores, statistics and play-by-play. Redis cache expiration depends on the game's status. Live updates are applied after reading the cache, so scores keep moving without repeatedly fetching unchanged data.
